Step 14: Manufacture

We have thought of nothing else since our offer. We wouldn’t be Feo if we didn’t think things through to the production state at the end. The producibility of the electronic products plays a central role right from the offer stage and so the manufacturing process is not at the end of a logical chain, but accompanies the entire product development process.

Step 14: Manufacture Details

The manufacturing process concentrates primarily on the two most important components of the electronic products: the electronics and the mechanical components.

The production of the electronics, e.g. chip on board, takes place via the assembly carried out in various familiar methods. This enables the attachment of electronic components via THT (wave soldering (ROHS-compliant and leaded, automated selective soldering)) to boards or the insertion in high-speed SMD lines (BGA, µBGA, 0201).

The production processes of the casing for the developed electronic products depend on the materials used. Casings or components made from plastic are generally manufactured using the injection-moulding process. Metal elements, such as those made from aluminium, can be machined or manufactured by continuous casting or die-casting methods.
